'A Parisian intimate wedding in the Normandy Countryside'

This intimate editorial shoot aims to recreate a contemporary yet elegant ensemble, of Parisian tones in an idyllic Chateau in the Normandy countryside, a genuine paradise for nature lovers.

The choice of venue was immediate, Chateau de Courtomer, boasts history and character, a multifaceted facade changing colour as the sun reflects on the incredible stones. Often used as a more romantic backdrop, we wanted to highlight a further aspect of the Chateau by showing couples in search of a modern wedding, that they can still achieve a fashionable and trendy look, in a historical and tranquil landmark. To create this atmosphere, a great team was important, starting with the photographer. Masha is a fantastic storyteller through her photography. Her approach is emotive and is able to gift every photo with a timeless elegance and editorial aesthetic. Once the colour palette was decided, everything else fell into place, naturally. The incredible suppliers involved were able to bring to life the different textures that Chateau de Courtomer offers, through their art.

Slim lines and geometrical shapes were the choices for the bridal look, beautifully crafted by Rachel, jewellery, and Deborah, short wedding dress, encased in sophisticated hair and make-by the talented Nancy and timeless personalised veils by Rebecca. After the ceremony conducted expertly by Natalie, the couple headed over to the Orangerie, once 'for wintering over precious lemon trees and tropical plants' now offers an elegant space and the inspiration for the shoot. There we placed the dinner table, where silver and glass reigned supreme, and stationery by Ashley and the cake by Margaret fully captured this magical space, by replicating the same texture of the walls, as well as the hexagonal shape of the flooring. 

The weather was our friend, the sun shone through the beautiful tall glass doors, overlooking a curated garden, until the magic of the golden hour hugged us all to mark the end of a fantastic day.
